A duas vezes diamantada cantora Kerli divulgou o seu álbum pela Europa no final do ano passado, entre 19 de novembro de 2018 e 19 de dezembro do mesmo ano. Ela havia dado uma pausa para passar as festas de fim de ano com a sua família na Estônia (e ainda fez um texto todo meigo explicando a importância da família na nossa vida). Ela preferiu não ir a maior premiação da indústria fonográfica do mundo, o Grammy Awards, para assar um peru no forno com sua mãe, Piret Kõiv, e sua irmã, Eliisa Kõiv. Boicotada na premiação, tendo impressionantes oito indicações, Kerli ganhou apenas uma, na categoria de melhor turnê! A fada disse que não se importava em ser premiada em categorias melhores e etc., fazendo aquele texto inspirador dizendo que devemos fazer as coisas para agradar a nós mesmos. Mas não só seus fãs, como todos sabem que ela merecia muito mais!
Apesar de Best Live Concert não ser uma das categorias mais importantes do Grammy, a Kerli ficou muito agradecida pelo prêmio, dizendo que ficou feliz por ter ganhado algo que fez com tanto esforço para os fãs. Felizmente oboicote Grammy já passou e tudo o que nos resta é esperar uma edição melhor em 2019, com a Kerli varrendo todos aqueles troféus. Agora vamos ao principal foco da matéria: a Deepest Roots: The World Tour. Após lançar o seu primeiro álbum de estúdio em 08 de Agosto do ano passado, a estoniana iniciou a divulgação do material investindo pesadamente em sua turnê, que, a propósito, traz shows lindos e cheios de magia e encanto. Ela estabeleceu um tema especial para cada leg de sua tour.
Enquanto visitava os países europeus, ao lado da cantora Sia, que fazia os shows de abertura, a artista performou ao redor do tema "The Cold and the Snow", escolhido pela aproximação do inverno no hemisfério norte do globo. Os ingressos de sua segunda leg, que passará pela Ásia e Oceania já foram liberados para compra há muito tempo. O tema da leg também: "The Dark and the Light", mas diferentemente do primeiro tema, ela nunca explicou o porque. Somente hoje, no primeiro dia do ano, 01/01, ela foi em sua página do Facebook falar um pouquinho sobre.
"A Escuridão e a Luz" - diz Kerli na rede social - "é um tema muito forte se você for analisar. Agora nós estamos em pleno inverno e eu podia continuar com essa temática de frio, neve, gelo... Não sei muito bem o motivo pelo qual não continuamos com esse tema, mas eu sei o motivo pelo qual decidimos usar este novo. Antes de mais nada, feliz primeiro dia de 2019, pessoal! Esse ano vem trazendo muitas surpresas, com certeza. Não só de minha parte, mas como da de vocês. Ainda estamos no começo desse ano que tem tudo pra ser maravilhoso, incrível, fantástico. Tudo depende de vocês, de suas ações, de seus gestos, de suas falas, de seus pensamentos, de suas emoções, de seus passos. O ano só está aí pra ser vivido, você quem fará ele ser especial ou não. Este não é um discurso sobre saber aproveitar 2019. É um discurso para que vocês entendam o significado da Escuridão da Luz. A Escuridão é aquilo que não enxergamos, o desconhecido, é o futuro, nossos próximos dias em 2019. A Luz é o que estamos vendo, o que já conhecemos, nosso passado, nossos dias anteriores em 2018. Acho que vi alguém comentando no Twitter uma vez que quem vive de passado é museu. Mas porque não podemos ser museus de coisas boas? De memórias agradáveis e lembranças ternas de amor? Ter passado em si não é nem um pouco ruim. O passado nos mostra os erros que cometemos e como podemos melhorar na escuridão. Olhando pra luz, pro nosso passado, podemos ver algo que nos influencie a mudar o futuro. Se você olhar para o lugar errado na luz e ver algo que não queria, também não há problema algum! É o seu passado, você já passou por aquilo, resta aceitar e seguir pela escuridão. Talvez, o que esteja nos esperando no escuro seja ainda pior do que o que estamos guardando no passado. A vida é uma caixinha de surpresas, totalmente imprevisível, mas, como eu já disse, tudo depende de nós. Depende de nós sabermos equilibrar a luz e a escuridão dentro de nós, em nossas almas, e continuar seguindo, andando sempre para frente, mas nunca se esquecendo do caminho que ficou para trás."
